On November 8-10, 2019, a conference was held in Moscow for leaders of the women's ministry of the Command of Russia. God gave each participants His gifts and talents and entrusted to serve in the corps, helping many women to be strengthened in His Word, care, protection, patience and love.

As part of our corps, we also form one unit in the Salvation Army of Russia.

For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another (Romans 12:3-5).

God created a woman in His own image and likeness, as well as man. But He gave her a special sensitivity, care, kindness and tenderness. A special maternal love that goes beyond personal family relationships — it applies to every person in the church. Today she can influence, guide and teach. Therefore, it is important to take responsibility for your personal development in order to lead people to the knowledge of Christ. It is these women who become leaders of ministries, leaders of the church.

At the meeting, women shared their experience and ministry skills, inspired encouraged and supported each other.

Such meetings are always a special time. We served each other with our gifts and thereby strengthened our church. They made plans for next year and dreamed with faith about expanding the limits of the Kingdom of God in our cities. They sought His presence and guidance for our life and strengthening in ministry. We read the Bible and received revelations.

The next year theme for The Salvation Army women's ministry is "Time to be holy". Reflecting on this, we searched the Scriptures for the answers what these words mean for each of us in practice, in our lives. Holiness.. Is it an unattainable call or a real opportunity? To be holy... Does it depend only on me, or is it the result of my relationship with God? Why did God call me to be holy yet I was still a sinner? How can holiness manifest in my life? Many different deep and important questions arise when we reflect on God's call for holiness.

And, although the theme of holiness sounds within the framework of women's ministry, it is relevant for every person who decides to build his life on God's foundation.

It was also Thanksgiving. We were able to collect all the fruits of our ministry over the past year and saw how God's work continues in His people, in His buildings, through His servants. And they thought about what fruits we can bear the next year.

Reflecting on the meeting, I recall the joy that women shared: the joy of God's presence in their lives, the joy of the fruits of service, the joy of self-awareness as part of something more.

Something more than a corps, more than a city, even more than a country, is part of God's Church.
